Problem With Batch Execution Mapping Functions To A Role - User Provisioning (Doc ID 2087732.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 29, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version 7.3.5.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a user has batch execution role, he will be able to execute batches from
both Batch Execution and Batch Scheduler screens. As per LHSMenuen_US.xml
file Batch Execution, Batch Scheduler screens are mapped to same
functions(SCROPC*OPREXEC).

Customer want those screens to have separate functions and provided the below
business justification

"We are scheduling batch using external schedular at some specific time.

So if somebody went and schedule batch at wrong time due to any reason. This
can cause issues in production:
1. Performance issues for other processes and they will not get memory as
some OFSAA batch is executing.
2. Nobody will be aware who is running this batch and digging down this issue
can take long time."
