Production Scheduling (PS) 12.2.4 version, Anything not covered by other codes
Currently, the Multistage Synchronization solver expects for all jobs that
are to be scheduled on a Downstream (Pack) resource to consume a WIP item
that is manufactured on an Upstream (Make) resource, for it to be scheduled
There are cases where certain WIP items are not scheduled at all (since they
are more or less continuously available). Pack jobs for these items are
scheduled on downstream resources, and those pack jobs will then not have
such WIP item on its BOM. Since such pack jobs must be scheduled on pack
lines together with other pack jobs which do consume scheduled WIP items, and
since the user-defined ideal sequence is relevant for all pack jobs, it is
important that the pack jobs without WIP item are considered when allocating
jobs the pack lines as well.
Therefore, the Multistage Synchronization Solver logic will be changed to
also consider pack jobs that do not consume WIP items.
