Attachment Displays, But Nothing Happens When You Click On It In Convergence

Symptoms
We have a user who is receiving a PDF attachment with a file name that contains the full path to the file. The attachment is shown in Convergence, but nothing happens when you click on the attachment link.
This is happening in different browsers - Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.52 beta (64-bit) on Mac OS 10.10, IE on Windows.
The MIME headers on the message are:
Renaming the attachment to a simple name clears up the issue.
