Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version 8.3.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When a user either A) changes a view on the activities applet in P6Web or B) schedules a project in P6Web (without the "display scheduling log upon completion" selected in the "schedule project" options), the user intermittently receives a blank screen in the applet, requiring a refresh to the screen for the applet to function again.

When changing views, it does appear to try and present the view context, but no data is displayed in the applet for what the view is supposed to display.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
In P6, on the activities applet, when either A) changing a view or B) scheduling a project (without the "display scheduling log upon completion" selected in the "schedule project" options), a blank screen should not be intermittently returned, requiring a refresh of the applet to function again.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6.
  2. Select the Project link.
  3. Open a project on the EPS page, and select the Activities link.
  4. While working in the Activities applet:
    • Change a view by selecting the view dropdown on right-hand side and note the reported error which occurs.
    • Select the schedule icon to schedule the project (without the "display scheduling log upon completion" selected in the "schedule project" options) and note the reported issue which occurs when closing the schedule log.
