This is a common error that occurs when installing the Oracle Utilities application incorrectly.

The correct option must be selected in the drop-down for the application pools.

There are some configuration steps that must be performed on application and
web servers prior to installing the Oracle Utilities software.

This information is documented in the EIP Installation Guide Chapter 2-9 Setting Up the Network Environment.

These steps can be accomplished by End users and System Administration.

To avoid the error use “ASP.NET v4.0 Classic” instead of DefaultAppPool.
