PrmPrcChg Messages With Type MULTIBUYPROMOCRE Are Not Creating LocationList, Location Details (Doc ID 2096946.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 14.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The issue described in this document is known to Oracle, and a fix already scheduled for future release.
This article will be updated as official patch information becomes available.

A fixed price promotion overlapping a clearance and with clearance price less than promotion price is approved if the promotion is inserted with the injector.  However, it remains in worksheet status if created from the UI.  Also, this scenario will generate PrmPrcChg messages with no Locationlist details.

It is expected that  mandatory elements [<loc_type>xx...] will appear in the PrmPrcChg messages.

Steps to Reproduce:

Preliminary checks:

1. Create the promo from the UI:
    a. Create a clearance for item A and location B with fixed price X
    b. Add a fixed price promo for same item/location with clearance price < promo price Y (X<Y), overlapping the clearance created in step 1a.
    c. Approve the promotion.

Result: Failed conflict checking and the promotion remains in Worksheet status.

2. Create the promo using the injector:
    a. Create promo header from the UI
    c. Run ./ retail.user status=N event_type=SP
    d. Go to UI and approve the promotion. This gets approved, and PrmPrcChg messages are published with no details.
