Why do Repository Query Cache Statistics not Change When Accessing Repository Items? (Doc ID 2096951.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Platform - Version 2006.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This document explains the most likely explanations of why a SQL Repository, configured to have item and query caching enabled, does not show any query cache activity while the item cache is being utilized as expected. For example, accessing the homepage of the site shows that the item cache statistics counts for the ProductCatalog repository increase, but the query cache usage (localEntries, totalHits, and totalMisses) remain at zero or do not increment.
