One Day Promotion Does Not Update when a Regular Price Change Occurs before It (Doc ID 2098622.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 13.0.6 to 13.0.7 [Release 13.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a promotion is defined at some point out in the future for a period of only 1 day and then a reg price change is created between the current day and the start of that promotion, the promotion is not resent to Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) to update the pricing. This occurs for all promotion types (no-change, percent off, etc…).

Scenario details

What fails: Define a promotion for 1 days then add a reg price change for before the promo starts.
1. Define promo
2. Send to ORPOS
Run price/item extract for ORPOS
- RPMTOORPOSPUBLISHBATCH
- RPMTOORPOSPUBLISHEXPORT
- BATCH_ORPOS_EXTRACT
- PURGEPAYLOADSBATCH
3. Create and approve a reg price change prior to promotion start date…
Problem: Download has no records. Promotion is not exported and price does not change at ORPOS.

What does not fail: Define a promotion for 7 days then add a reg price change for before the promo starts.
1. Define promo
2. Send to ORPOS
Run price/item extract for ORPOS
- RPMTOORPOSPUBLISHBATCH
- RPMTOORPOSPUBLISHEXPORT
- BATCH_ORPOS_EXTRACT
- PURGEPAYLOADSBATCH
3. Create and approve a reg price change prior to promotion start date…
No Problem: It downloads to ORPOS as expected.
