Background Processor Job For Equipment Spec Edit is Flagged With Status of "Not Responding" (NOR) and Eventually Fails With "ORA-12899: value too large for column" Error (Doc ID 2101987.1)

Symptoms

Equipment Edit jobs sent to the Background Processor intermittently end up in a status of Not Responding (NOR) and fail with "ORA-12899: value too large for column" errors. For example, one failed at 70% and the other at 94%.

Recreation Steps

The problem is intermittent and cannot be recreated at will.


Business Impact

Due to this issue, some Equipment Edit jobs sent to the Background Processor cannot be completed.
