Unable to Search for Specifications Using Fields With Date Values (Doc ID 2103539.1)

Last updated on MAY 09, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process - Version 5.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When performing a search that requires a date values (e.g. Spec Create Date, Last Edit or Created), the search will timeout and the user is not presented with the results expected.  Instead, the SQL generated for that query appears.

As part of normal troubleshooting, customers are asked to copy the SQL and run the SQL directly against the database to see how long it takes to run the SQL command.

ERROR

SQL Server Database:  When running the SQL statement generated by the search directly against the database, receive error, " 'Trunc' is not a recognized built-in function name".

WHAT WORKS

Other searches in PLM for Process not involving dates work correctly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Applications > GSM > Trade Specifications.
2. Perform a search on either created or Last Edit field. (For example, Created less than 1/20/2016)
3. Receive message with SQL statement that was generated for this search.
4. When taking the generated SQL statement and running it against the database, receive error, "'Trunc' is not a recognized built-in function name".
