Visualizer LDAP Username Search is Case-sensitive When Launched As A Separate Application (Doc ID 2103904.1)

Symptoms


In P6 15.2.1.0 - 15.2.3.0, when using LDAP Authentication:

When launching Visualizer as a separate application, the Visualizer login requires the username to be entered in the exact case in which the account was created in the LDAP directory server.

Note: If Visualizer is called from within P6 Professional, it does not matter which case is used when entering the username.

Steps to Re-produce the issue

  1. Launch Visualizer.exe from the Start menu (i.e. not from within the P6 Professional application)
  2. Enter the username in UPPERCASE (assuming the LDAP server is using lowercase).
  3. Enter the password.
  4. Login will fail.
  5. Enter the username in lowercase.
  6. Enter the password.
  7. Login will be successful.
