Goal

Oracle Utilities Framework has for many years supported a Message Driven Bean (MDB) that can consume messages from a JMS Queue and execute those messages under XAI.  An MDB hosted under the SPLService deployment can only call into XAI.  Likewise, you must build a MDB under the Webservices (IWS) deployment if you want that MDB to send messages to an Inbound Web Service.  This article provides an example of building such an MDB under Webservices, connected to a remote JMS Queue.

Note that MDBs under Webservices was released as a Hot Fix for FW 4.2.0.3 under <Patch:20758712>.  This was rolled into the base of FW 4.3.0.1.0.
