Different Behavior When Entering Single/Double Byte Space on Text/MultiText Attribute (Doc ID 2106986.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
There is difference in behavior on web client when entering only single byte space to Text/MultiText field which have Required : Yes.

Page Three. MultiText30

Name : MultiText30
Include Characters : All Characters with space and Mixed Case
Required : Yes

For above, when entering only single byte space " ", web client shows,

Unable to save your changes. You have one error.
MultiText30 is a required field.

But when entering only double byte space " ", it can be saved.

Expected Behavior
Single byte space and double byte space should behave the same.

Steps

  1. Login to Java Client in admin user
  2. Set the below Page Three. MultiText30 attribute.

    Name : MultiText30
    Include Characters : All Characters with space and Mixed Case
    Required : Yes

  3. Login to Web Client and open a object with Page Three. MultiText30 attribute.
  4. Enter double byte space " " to the Page Three. MultiText30 field and save.
