Symptoms
Actual Behavior
There is difference in behavior on web client when entering only single byte space to Text/MultiText field which have Required : Yes.
Page Three. MultiText30
Name : MultiText30
Include Characters : All Characters with space and Mixed Case
Required : Yes
Name : MultiText30
Include Characters : All Characters with space and Mixed Case
Required : Yes
For above, when entering only single byte space " ", web client shows,
Unable to save your changes. You have one error.
MultiText30 is a required field.
MultiText30 is a required field.
But when entering only double byte space " ", it can be saved.
Expected Behavior
Single byte space and double byte space should behave the same.
Steps
- Login to Java Client in admin user
- Set the below Page Three. MultiText30 attribute.
Name : MultiText30
Include Characters : All Characters with space and Mixed Case
Required : Yes - Login to Web Client and open a object with Page Three. MultiText30 attribute.
- Enter double byte space " " to the Page Three. MultiText30 field and save.
