EBS: PS: Production Scheduling (PS) Not Slowing Down Maker When Packer Runs At A Faster Rate With Multi-Synch (Doc ID 2109085.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Production Scheduling - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.5 version, Planning Engine

Standalone PS install.

When using Multi-Stage Synchronization; PS is not slowing down the maker when the maker runs at a faster rate than is being consumed downstream by a packaging line.

If a maker->packer is a direct relationship as per Resource Relationship matrix, and if the packer consumes the bulk WIP from the maker with a slower
rate than it is produced on the maker, then the make operations need to be slowed down.
