Search for Mail Addresses Against Corporate Address Book Fails with VLV Indexes Active
(Doc ID 2109164.1)
Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0 to 3.0.1 [Release 3.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Consider a setup comprising Oracle Communications Convergence 3 patch 1 (3.0.0.1.0).
With VLV indexes configured as documented here and iwcadmin parameter 'client.enablecorpabautocomplete' set to 'true', when composing an email and entering an email address directly on the "To: " field, the expected contact is not returned in the search results.
Example:
- Log-in to Convergence
- Hit the 'Write' button to compose new mail
- Paste 'calmaster@' in the "To: " field -- existing contact in Corporate Directory does not appear.
- With Convergence 2, and VLV indexes active, this search was working (because VLV indexes were not used at that moment).
- Upon navigating to Address Book -> Corporate Directory and search explicitly for email address as 'calmaster@', then the entry is found.
Here is a sample / extract from the LDAP Access log captured while searching with autocomplete from the "To: " field during mail compose :
