Feature Request of ECE to Support Implementing Tax Exemption (Doc ID 2109907.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

There is OOB(out of box) object/table (account_exemptions_t) in BRM(Billing and Revenue Management) to store the tax exemption details for each customer. But this BRM object is not synced up with ECE(Elastic Charging Engine).

Is there an option to sync account_exemptions_t BRM object with ECE?

What is ExtendedCustomerAttributes in payloadconfig_ece_sync.xml?

This is one of the sub elements under CustCreate event. But this sub element is always empty.

Can this sub element used to sync additional details of account with ECE, so that one can use this sub element to sync account_exemptions_t details?
The user wants to apply tax rates based on the base location of the end customer, it is planned to implement this in post rating extension based on the customers profile (as you are storing base location in profile). Since it may not be possible to implement this through pricing config using account level attributes (one can store base location information in this) as tax configuration is at charge/discount offer level not charge level.
