Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT), an Allocation which outputs to Portfolio tables fails or hangs.  When you review the ofspa.xxxxx.log in $FIC_DB_HOME/log/FusionApps, you find the following errors:

Module Logging OFS Access module data: DB Session Created, Handle: - 1

Module Logging OFS errors: Unable to fetch DB Session: - 1

The message occurs after the "merge into" statement for a portfolio table.  The log file also contains "DB Session" messages with the last being number 20.

Module Logging OFS Access module data: Thread ID: 20, DB Session: 20

Module Logging OFS Access module data: Thread Joined, Thread ID: 20

The Allocation gets stuck or fails after this point.
