Demantra Install Question - is Pluggable Database (PDB) Required to Install Demantra on Oracle Detabase 12c?
(Doc ID 2110356.1)
Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Demantra Advanced Forecasting and Demand Modeling - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
We are using a 12C database.
In the install guide it says : "A Pluggable Database (PDB) is a new multi-tenancy feature of Oracle 12c. This feature
enables a single container database (CDB) to contain multiple pluggable databases. The
Demantra Installer does not automatically create or configure a PDB, so if you will be
using Demantra with Oracle 12c, a PDB must be defined before running the Oracle
Demantra Installer to install a new or upgrade an existing installation".
Can you let me know if a PDB is definitely required ? We do not intend to install any other databases on this server other than the one for demantra.
