Messaging Server / Wasabi Should Have a Userid/Password Auth Mechanism Instead of IP Address List like ISS (Doc ID 2110566.1)

Last updated on MARCH 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Indexing and Search Service - Version 1.0.5.18.0 and later
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Reports of config error in the mail.server.ip option in the jiss.conf resulting in cluster failover at the back-end mail server, switching to an IP address that was not listed.  So since that point in time, it had been doing basically nothing.

ISS (and wasabi / Messaging Server config on the back-end) should support a userid/password type scheme as an alternative to the mail.server.ip config option.
