Limited Use Of X-Authorization Header For MDT Login & Authentication In MWM/ORS v2.2 (Doc ID 2110888.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2019

Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management - Version 2.2.0.0.0 and later
Oracle Real-Time Scheduler - Version 2.2.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When communicating with the Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) in Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) / Oracle Real-Time Scheduler (ORS) v2.1, we used to get one header called “x-authorization” which was a base64 encoded value of username and password concatenated by a semicolon.  We do not see this header in since the upgrade to v2.2 in our XML traces.

1) Has this base64 authorization been removed from v2.2?
2) Has this been replaced by any other form of encoding?
3) How will the password be shared with the server?
