User Defined Fields Errors When Trying To Edit, Mode Locked - Instantis EnterpriseTrack (Doc ID 2112765.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to make an configuration change of any kind to any idea or charter, the following errors can occur:

Configuration Workbench: Edit User-defined Field Error. Please correct the errors shown below, and try again.
Custom fields with configured attribute set to false cannot be used for mapping. The field with display name: Text Field 1 in the custom field mapping, for entity: idea has configured attribute set to false.
Custom fields with visible attribute set to false cannot be used for mapping. The field with display name: Text Field 1 in the custom field mapping, for entity: idea has visible attribute set to false.

  

NOTE: Once this bug has been triggered, no matter what field name is attempted to be edited the original field that was attempted to be edited will be in the error message.  For example: Field Name "Color" is attempting to be changed to Not visible, gives an error.  Then an attempt to edit field name "Model" to be change to visible.  The message will display as:  Custom fields with configured attribute set to false cannot be used for mapping. The field with display name: Color in the custom field mapping, for entity: idea has configured attribute set to false.

Validate Configuration presents with these errors
Error 21041 : Custom fields with configured attribute set to false cannot be used for mapping. The field with display name: <<Field name>> in the custom field mapping, for entity: idea has configured attribute set to false.
Error 21042 : Custom fields with visible attribute set to false cannot be used for mapping. The field with display name: <<Field name>> in the custom field mapping, for entity: idea has visible attribute set to false.
Error 21044 : Custom fields of different types have been mapped in custom field mapping. The field with display name: <<Field name>>, entity: idea and type: text is mapped to a field with display name: Pillar, entity: charter and type: list.

NOTE: This issue will not allow the mode to be changed for New and Production accounts.

 

NOTE: If this issue is exiting in an environment prior to attempting to export the Configuration through the Deployment tab, additional Error when importing to a Clean Skeleton account may occur.  Please be sure to always run Validate Configuration, prior to exporting the Configuration in any account.

 

Changes

Change any User defined field (UDF) in Custom Fields Administration.  System will not allow change in Mode.
