Goal

In our company we are using Convergence 3.0.1.1.0.  As of Convergence 3.0.1.0.0, users can include the image logo of our company in their email signature through the options tab.  When we send an email, the user's customized signature is included and the image is embedded as a binary into the html of the message.

We've noticed that when we send emails to destinations where they're using mail servers like Exchange or Gmail, they receive our emails without our company logo. This is a problem because our Corporate Identity image is not followed.

For example, I added a logo to my signature by selecting it via the "Browse" method.  When I logged into an Outlook client, I saw a box with a red X in the middle, where my picture should have been.  At the top of the email, there was a message saying to "click here" to download pictures or to change automatic download settings.  I clicked the "download pictures" and that message went away, but the picture never loaded and I just saw the box with the red X in it.

I then performed another test where I added the picture to the signature by providing a URL in the URL box/field . After doing this, when I logged into an Outlook client, I again saw the box with the red X in the middle and the same message stating to "click here" to download pictures or to change automatic download settings.  This time, when I clicked the "download pictures", the red X disappeared and I was then able to click on the little square to display my logo.

This is not a very good workaround, since it's not intuitive to the recipient user and is cumbersome.  Already having the logo displayed, would be preferred.

Some users in our company use Thunderbird as the main mail client.  There are no problems with the image logo because the logo is sent as an attachment inside the signature; it's not a binary that's included in the html.

Is it possible to configure Convergence to send the image logo as an attachment, like Thunderbird does?
