Symptoms

On Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT) 8.0.1 version it appears that Portfolio Table and Expressions not supported with Management Ledger.

Portfolio Table and Expressions are not supported with Management Ledger, meaning that the allocations which are having either Portfolio Table or Expressions or both in Source and the output Management Ledger cannot even be saved as an error message appears.
In the standalone PFT 8.0 setup, the Management ledger table is not available in the Expression > Entity group selection screen > Entity Name drop down (under entity type : Non-Instrument Entity ) -> no expression can be created on Management ledger table,
However, in the Filter screen, the Management ledger is available in the Entity Name drop down.

ERRORS

Expressions with Management Ledger is not supported
Portfolio with Management Ledger is not supported

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to OFSAAI
  2. Go to Profitability -> Allocation Specification
  3. Open Allocation screen in New mode
  4. Select type as Static driver
  5. In source & output tabs(both debit & credit), select table name as portfolio table and click on save.
  6. Getting the error "Portfolio with Management ledger is not supported"
