Order Getting Stuck At Start of Sub Process or at Rule Task

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After regular purging activity, orders getting stuck at the start of the sub-process which is getting triggered by the main process. There is no error in the logs and also there is no database issue seen.
What could be the reason for the same?
