Unifier Environment Performance Issue - "Processing..." Window That Never Closes, Process Never Completes

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The issue was noted in a Oracle Cloud 15.2 environment; the user would attempt to complete an action such as processing a BP record or executing a saved search in a BP log, and would see the "Processing..." popup window with the wheel spinning. It would never complete the process or would take much longer than normal.
