slee_acs Hangs when dapIF is Overloaded if dapIF is Configured as an UDG Interface Type (Doc ID 2128849.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC), slee_acs can become unresponsive and eventually be killed/restarted by the watchdog.

This occurs if dapIF is configured as a Unreliable Datagram (UDG) interface type in the (/IN/service_packages/SLEE/etc/)SLEE.cfg configuration file, as follows:

INTERFACE=dapIF dapIF.sh /IN/service_packages/DAP/bin UDG # Inserted by dapScp

As a result, all calls serviced by the affected slee_acs instance will be dropped when it is restarted.

Changes

Increased dapIF load.
