Symptoms

When attempting to login to P6 Web configured for LDAP SSL, the following error occurs:

Invalid Username or Password.

The following error is also logged to the P6WebAccess.html log file:

ERROR /action/login () com.primavera.infr.ldap.LDAPServiceImpl ?:? While trying to ping LDAP server failed to get initial directory context URL=ldaps://<host name>:<port> Security=ssl AuthenticationMode= Chase Referrals=0 User Key=uid
javax.naming.CommunicationException: <host name>:<port> [Root exception is java.net.SocketException: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Error constructing implementation (algorithm: Default, provider: SunJSSE, class: sun.security.ssl.SSLContextImpl$DefaultSSLContext)]

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Browse to the P6 Web login page and login.
  2. Note the reported issue.
