In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS), the SALESPROCESS.KSH (Main Processing of Staged Sale/Return Transactions) script rejects many sales files with 'R' status (possibly due to a Oracle 12c database issue). If this happens, you need to generate a lot of reject files (hundreds of them) and process them on the next batch run. You process sales on an hourly basis, so if reject file processing takes a lot of time, then you cannot process the rejected sales in the next hourly; this could adversely impact the full batch schedule. Hence, we require a multi-threaded mode for this batch process.
