Questions Around Synchronizing of Events and Services from BRM to PDC (Doc ID 2130217.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2018

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Q1) Does BRM sync the new event to PDC if only the podl is created for the new event? The user has created a new event in BRM and wanted to sync that to PDC. But on starting the transformers and syncPDC, it did not sync the new event to PDC. The service -event mapping file is created in BRM but not loaded it in BRM since that's supposed to be synced from PDC to BRM.

Q2) Please clarify what is synchronized from BRM to PDC.

The PDC documentation says that the following needs to be loaded in PDC and synced to BRM using transformers:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22185_01/doc.111/e22186/usr_psetup_about.htm#PDCUG296
Service-event maps:
The service-event map lists all the services to which charge offers and discount offers can apply. For each service, the map specifies which events can have charges configured for that service. The map also specifies the RUMs to use for each service-event combination.

But we are asked to load pin_event_map which has the service-event mapping on the BRM side. So, its contradictory what the documentation is saying.
