Symptoms

The issue described in this document is known to Oracle, and a fix already scheduled for future release.
This article will be updated as official patch information becomes available.

In Retail Merchandising System (RMS), Purchase Order (PO) conversion fails when the Euro (EUR) currency entry was missing in the CURRENCY_RATES table.  This occurs even though USD is the only currency being used on the PO.

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Ensure that CURRENCY_RATES table does not have any data for CURRENCY_CODE = 'EUR'.
  2. Create a PO.
  3. Add Items to the PO.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Note that you cannot add the item to PO; error is thrown: "An Exchange rate does not exist.'
