Suspense Errors Prevent Other Configured Warnings and Errors from Displaying (Doc ID 2134146.1)

Last updated on MAY 05, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 10.0.1.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 10.2.0.12 version, Activity

Actual Behavior
If there are both system errors (ex. Not enough funds in the suspense item(s)), configured Warnings and Errors do not display.

Example - if there is enough money in suspense, the VerificationScreen will display the following message because the Annuitant has over $6 million in coverage.
"M009 Total of all Personal Retirement premiums for the Primary Annuitant across all contracts is greater than 6,000,000."
The message (M009) comes from the ValidateExpressions attached to the transaction.
If there is not enough money in suspense, the only error displayed is:
"V006 Not enough funds in the suspense item(s)."

Expected Behavior
All warnings and errors relevant to the policy to display in the Verification Screen.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Configure a Validation to check for coverage greater than 6 million.
2. Find a policy which has greater than 6 million in coverage
3. Create an Initial Premium activity and click Verify
- If there is enough money in suspense, the system correctly displays the message:
"M009 Total of all Personal Retirement premiums for the Primary Annuitant across all contracts is greater than 6,000,000."
- If there is not enough money in Suspense the system only displays the error message:
"V006 Not enough funds in the suspense item(s)."
