Private, Public, Background Job, and/or Reporting Database Schema Users Are Not Listed in the Drop-down When Using the 'dbsetup' Tool to Upgrade a P6 EPPM Database (Doc ID 2135070.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When attempting to upgrade a P6 EPPM database to a new version using the Database Setup Wizard (<P6 EPPM install media>\database\dbsetup.bat (.sh)), when required to select a P6 EPPM database user from the associated drop-down fields, one or more of the following schema user names are not available:

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The database schema users should be available in the drop-down list when upgrading a P6 EPPM database via the Database Setup Wizard.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the <P6 EPPM install media>\database\dbsetup.bat (.sh) utility.
  2. Provide the database connection information and click Next.
  3. Enter the P6 EPPM schema owner (default admuser) and Next.
  4. On the next two screens, the Private, Public, Background job, and/or Reporting database users are not listed in the dropdown field(s).
