Last updated on OCTOBER 23, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

ENHANCEMENT REQUEST

Request to be able to search for service location in template based order, by associated circuit ID using the configuration PSR Ordering - Location Search window.

Circuit designers are looking for a way to search for the correct, active Service Location by using the circuit ID to search.

REQUIREMENTS

For template based PSR order - select the service  &  Config Product
In the PSR Ordering window - click the Search Locations link on the left pane.

The ensuing PSR Ordering - Location Search window should offer the additional search options:
       1. Active Service Locations; and
       2. Connection ID

Fig: mockup of possible Service Location search window:

Window name: object: w_so_optimized_dialog and the jsp name is existinglocations.jsp

JUSTIFICATION

Being able to find the location that has been associated with a circuit more easily would be AMAZING
(reducing the amount of research we have to do would speed design up considerably).

Some customers searches produce 1600 (Level 3) results when Provisioning and search is done by name.

This would also be helpful for finding the correct location to get the CPE loaded onto the design.
