Invalid Day of Year Node Configuration Possible Resulting in slee_acs Crashes (Doc ID 2137510.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC), it is possible to configure the Day of Year (DoY) Feature Node (FN) with a date range mapped to an exit that does not exist.

When the Control Plan (CP) is successfully compiled, as it goes live within the slee_acs processes, the following error can be seen in the logs:

ERROR: Node data pointer is NULL

Then slee_acs can crash due to a segmentation fault.

Changes

Addition of a misconfigured DoY FN to an active CP.
