How to change Runtime timeout when getting 'Message No Search Criteria Entered'

The runtime is a web application that has a timeout.  If the front end application timeout is longer than the OOB runtime timeout of 30 min then the front end followon request will get the message 'No Search Criteria entered'.

Message should not come before the value set for 'time-to-die'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Have the user perform a search in the front end application.

2. Keep the session idle for 30 min.

3. Have the user make a follow on request to next page or filter the selection.

4. Check for the runtime message that the session has timed out on the runtime.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, User is not able to filter out the search results by clicking on facet.
