SALESPROCESS Batch Fails Due To Table Lock Issues (Doc ID 2139628.1)

SALESPROCESS batch (Main Processing of Staged Sale/Return Transactions) fails with below locking errors:

salesprocess~20160502075106~EXEC_SQL ~@0TABLE_LOCKED@1ITEM_COST_HEAD@3-54
salesprocess~20160502075106~PROCESS_SALES~CORESVC_SALES_UPLOAD_SQL.PROCESS_SALES Process:43262 Thread: Failed.

Steps to Reproduce:
   1. Run SALESPROCESS batch.
   2. Notice that it aborts with above locking errors on table.
