Migration from ALM / PFT 6.1.x to 8.0 Fails on Import_into_target.sh with 'Time-out!' Error (Doc ID 2140736.1)

Symptoms

When migrating from Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM) or Profitability Management (PFT) 6.1.x to 8.0 following the instructions in the Metadata Migration Guide, you get the following error running import_into_target.sh:

[2016.05.09 - 18:17:59 PM EEST] Time-out! Please contact your system administrator.
[2016.05.09 - 18:17:59 PM EEST] aborting...

Also, a GZIP error exists in the FUSIONSUBSYSTEMSService.log from $FIC_APP_HOME/common/FICServer/logs.

Important: You must set the debug level to LOGGERLEVEL="0" in DynamicServices.xml to get all error messages in the FUSIONSUBSYSTEMSService.log:

Update DynamicServices.xml in $FIC_HOME/conf and in the Web Server's OFSAA deployment directory in the "conf" folder (ex. $CATALINA_HOME/webapps/<context>/conf).  Then, re-start the OFSAA server processes.

From FUSIONSUBSYSTEMSService.log in $FIC_APP_HOME/common/FICServer/logs:

[FUSIONSUBSYSTEMS] May 11,16 11:43:01 : [FUSIONSUBSYSTEMSSERVICEPROVIDER]Error occured in handling Migration....java.lang.Exception: Error which Uncompressing .DMP file ...java.util.zip.ZipException: Not in GZIP format

Finally, the following error exists in the migration.log from $FIC_HOME/utility/Migration/logs:

VALIDATE_CERTIFICATE :N
Attempting to receive proxy port.

null

As a result of these errors, the migration import fails.
