Can OFSAAI JDBC URL be configured with LDAP Servers (Doc ID 2140977.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version 8.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The client stores connection information in Oracle Internet Directory (OID), and they have two OID instances. When we install the OFSAA Pack 8.x Base Installers, the client wants us to specify the JDBC URL like this (in the installer property files):

jdbc:oracle:thin:@ldap://##HOST1##:389/SID,cn=OracleContext,dc=bank,dc=com ldap://##HOST2##:389/SID,cn=OracleContext,dc=bank,dc=com

Notice there are two URLs separated by a space. The space occurs after the first dc=bank,dc=com.

1) Can we install Application Pack with a JDBC URL that uses/points to LDAP/OID?
2) Can we install Application Pack with a JDBC driver that has two LDAP servers separated by a space?
3) If we cannot install like this, what if we change the JDBC URL in the installation config files after installation? Will the product work?
