Warehouse Delivery Report Throws Printing Error When Printed from Hand Held "There was an error, the report was unable to print to {0}" (Doc ID 2140991.1)

Symptoms

When printing Warehouse Delivery (WHD) report from Store Inventory Management (SIM) hand held (HH) device, the following error message is raised by the application:

However the report can be printed successfully from SIM PC client.
No job can be seen also in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) publisher job history for Warehouse Delivery after the error is received.


Steps to Recreate:

  1. Setup Warehouse delivery report to corresponding .xdo path. Ex:/Guest/SIM/WarehouseDeliveryReport/WarehouseDeliveryReport.xdo.
  2. Create a local printer.
  3. Allocate local printer to Warehouse delivery report.
  4. From Hand Held main menu > Shipping and Receiving >Warehouse Delivery > Scan The container ID > Receive All > Confirm > System Prompts to if we want a print > Yes.
  5. Notice the following error: BI Publisher report scheduling error: There was an error, the report was unable to print to {0}.
  6. Report cannot be found in OBI job history.
  7. Same warehouse delivery was successfully printed from SIM PC client.
