Applies to:
Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version 2.3.1 to 2.5.0.1.0 [Release 2.3 to 2.5]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On CCB 2.4.0.2, it is possible to save an (Sales & Marketing) Order with invalid characteristics, when pre-defined characteristic values are typed in, in lowercase, instead of selecting the value from the search results.
Steps To Reproduce
-------------------------------
**Examples provided in this article do not represent real life personal/confidential information**
1. Create Order - Main / Sales & Marketing / Order - add.
2. Go to the Questions & Misc Fields tab.
Select a question that is based on a pre-defined characteristic (e.g. Do you live in a multi or single family home?).
3. Enter a response by typing lowercase ‘s’ – do not use enter/tab out, just move your mouse to the next input field.
4. Order saves successfully – with char_val in lowercase.
Actual Result
-------------------------------
Note that an invalid char value (lowercase aside) fails validation.
