"PurgeAudits" batch is not purging the records from audit related table (ACTIVITY_HISTORY), instead the adhoc count purge procedure is being called in the server application.
The logs of the server application is as follows:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Make sure to have audit records in ACTIVITY_HISTORY table eligible to be purged (CREATE_DATE is older than parameter DAYS_TO_HOLD_AUDIT_RECORDS value)
To find the value of the parameter use: SELECT VALUE FROM CONFIG_SYSTEM WHERE NAME ='DAYS_TO_HOLD_AUDIT_RECORDS';
2. Run PurgeAudits batch
3. Observe that no record in ACTIVITY_HISTORY is purged
