Incorrect Error Message for Saimptlogi Batch Failure (Doc ID 2144846.1)

There are some fields like quantities, retails etc. which are not validated for the format in the input rtlog file as it was assumed they would be correct according to the design specification of the rtlog file. As a result, in case such fields are present in wrong format as per the documentation, the uploading of the file was failing in the final insertion of the records in to the tables without specifying which record insertion failed thereby making it difficult to figure out which record in the file has error.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Process a RTLOG with ORIGINAL_UNIT_RETAIL is 200 in TITEM record with leading SPACE.
  2. Program will fail with error :
  3. Above error does not display enough information which could help in figuring out which record insertion failed.
