Why are Different Facets coming up in Test Drive than in Infocenter or the ui.jsp Runtime Interface

Each time a question is asked different parameters are passed in the request to the search. In testdrive these parameters are passed as part of the profile and the dropdowns in the testdrive request. In the ui.jsp parameters have to be passed as parms on the question. From infocenter these parameters are passed as part of the setup of the user.
These parameters control how the rules from the dictionary fire and that controls which articles are selected to process the question against and how the question is scored. Different rules can be in affect in each of these interfaces. This article talks about why the rules are not working in Runtime UI as it is in Test drive results for facet selection.
After all the rules fire and all facets are known to determine possible documents. These possible documents are then scored. If a document is scored (related to the question in anyway) then its facets are included in the result facets. These facets can then be used to narrow - or filter to the different results.
