For fresh installation of pipeline , Customer wants to follow below approach.
What are the pros and cons of the below approach and also let know the recommended way of installing the pipeline and some optional components?
Proposed approach to install the pipeline and optional components : Copy the file system and run the dependent scripts/sql commands etc.
1) Find all the new/existing files that will be installed/modified as part of each feature installation.
2) Create a file system dump of all the concerned files .
a. How to get the list of files which are added/modified as part of each feature installation?
3) Copy all the files (which are taken as a dump in above step) to the new environment were the pipeline needs to be installed.
4) Find all the steps which needs to run (eg: database changes, any script run to load the default values etc…)
a. How to get the list of scripts/commands/sql etc. to run after the file system dump is copied to new env?
Is there any other step need to be executed as part of installation for the above approach to install pipeline and other optional components?
