Blank White Screen for ASR and LSR Orders Running MetaSolv Solution in a WebLogic Clustered Domain Environment

Symptoms

Attempting to create an ASR or LSR order in the MetaSolv Solution client results in a blank white area within the application normally occupied by the order.

NOTE: The behavior is specific to running MetaSolv Solution in a WebLogic clustered domain where the cluster-nur.ear, cluster-ASR{VERSION}.ear and cluster-LSR{VERSION}.ear applications have been deployed to all servers in the domain.  In addition to the most obvious observable behavior of the blank white area in the GUI, the additional symptoms listed below are also observed.

 


Additional Behaviors

(a) Selecting "Options > Refresh" when the blank white area is displayed throws an "Error 500--Internal Server Error" for a "java.lang.NullPointerException" in the GUI as well as several of the log files

(d) The ASR and/or LSR application's corresponding log files are NOT created in the ${MSLVHOME}${SERVER_NAME}/appserver/logs directory when the server starts (listed below).
