Symptoms

While performing steps as per the High Availability Case Study Guide (<Document 1666048.1>) to "Pack Domain and Copy to appserver2" for SIM application, managed server is not set up on the appserver2.

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Pack the domain by using the command "pack.sh -domain=/u01/app/orawls/cluster10.3.6/user_projects/domains/base_domain -template=/u01/app/orawls/cluster10.3.6/user_projects/domains/base_domain.jar -template_name=base_domain -managed=true"
  2. Copy the jar file to the other server and unpack it by using the command "unpack.sh -template=/u01/app/orawls/cluster10.3.6/user_projects/domains/base_domain.jar -domain=/u01/app/orawls/cluster10.3.6/user_projects/domains/base_domain -overwrite_domain=true -app_dir=/u01/app/orawls/cluster10.3.6/user_projects/domains/base_domain"
  3. Bring the servers up.  In the second server, managed server was not set up. There is only Admin server.
