SIM WebServices API "Processinventoryadjustment" Fails to Autorange a Non-Ranged Item

In Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, we find that when attempting to process an inventory adjustment for non-ranged item by WebServices API Processinventoryadjustment, the following error occurs:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to SIM webservice.
2. Select processInventoryAdjustments.
3. Enter the following item information for a non-ranged item:
Store id: xxxx
Reason code: 81
4. Click processInventoryAdjustments button. In the next page, observe the above error.
