Rapid Planning UI 12.2.5
Open Supply Chain Bill for an item
It always opens with only Items column group selected
The other column groups are not retained even when we select them once.
Open Supply Chain Bill for an item. Only columns in the ¿Item¿ column group
Checked in the drop down and confirmed that is the case
Selected Sourcing column group from the dropdown
Now sourcing related columns are showing
Close the Supply Chain Bill tab. Open again.
Previous setting is lost, now only Item column group is showing. We have to
select Sourcing again manually. Doing this every time is very time consuming.
The most important purpose of Supply Chain Bill screen is to see the sourcing
information. But when we open the Supply Chain Bill screen only the Item "Column Group" is selected.
To view sourcing information every time the user has to select the "Sourcing" column group
from the dropdown or by checking in View -> Column Groups
Expectation is that once the Sourcing Column group is selected, next time when
the screen is opened it should still be selected. This is what happens in
Supplies and Demands screen where once we have selected "Main", "Release" and "Other" it
retains that setting.
We even tried to create a saved search when "Sourcing" column group was selected and set that as
default instead of Application Default. It still did not work.
Viewing sourcing information is a very common requirement from the planning UI.
Manually selecting the Sourcing checkbox is time consuming and cumbersome to
do every time. It is also not in sync with the behavior of retaining column groups as seen
in other screens like Supplies and Demands.
This functionality is available in other tabs:
Items screen - Column groups "Anchored", "Main" and "Attributes" are always
shown once selected
Supplies and Demands - Column groups "Main", "Release" and "Other" are always
shown once selected
