Error 'Connection has been recycled. Database $NAME Pool PMT' and the CopyProject Job Fails When Attempting to Copy/Paste a Project in P6 (Doc ID 2152129.1)

When attempting to copy/paste a project, the job is failing and the following error occurs in the <P6 EPPM or P6service.jar home>\WebAccessLogs\P6WebAccess.html file:

com.primavera.infr.db.ConnectionRecycledException: Connection has been recycled. Database <database name> Pool PMT

[CopyProjectJobService] ERROR TIMESTAMP: DB Id: 1: Error while running Copy Project Service:Failed loading project in ###
[JobServiceExecutable] ERROR TIMESTAMP: DB Id: 1: Job error running job of type JT_CopyService on database1
com.primavera.PhoenixException: Failed loading project in ###


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into P6 Web.
  2. Copy/Paste a project.
  3. Navigate to the View Service Status list.
  4. Note that the job goes from status Running to Failed.
  5. View the log and observe the reported error.
