Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM) version 14.1, When a VPN (Vendor Product Number) is entered in Item Ticket screen in SIM PC application, there is a pop up displayed with Item ID and description.
At this point, in SIM server application a query is executed which is not needed. This is causing unnecessary delay and using resources and time for SIM application database.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Login to SIM PC application;
2. Click on Print -> Item Ticket -> Create;
3. Enter a VPN number in this screen and tab out from item number field

There is a pop up window displayed in the screen which has item ID and description. At this point in the SIM server application, the below mentioned SQL query is being executed which has price and other information about the items.

The price related details are not needed in this screen for all the items.
